How it all started
I spent over 30 years in a desk-based career. There’s nothing wrong with that, but after Covid and family bereavements, I decided it was time for a change.
At school I loved getting stuck into Shakespeare in class, and I’d always find myself acting out the parts. There were school plays too, on and off. I may even have sung a little.
A “proper job” came along and the performing side of life went on hold for a while. Then, around summer 2021, I dipped a toe back into acting and quickly realised it wasn’t just a phase.
With the support of professional courses and practical experience, I committed to it properly, and the journey’s still very much in progress.
What I’m drawn to
Characters under pressure: authority, vulnerability, moral conflict, and the moments where people can’t quite keep the mask on.
Now
Current focus
Stage, screen and voice
My work spans contemporary drama and classical theatre, with recent roles including Hogan Wise in the hit musical Jah Makin It Happen, Van Helsing in Dracula, Carr-Gomm in The Elephant Man, and Dale Harding in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.
I’m based in the UK and continue to develop work across stage and screen, alongside voice over.
